Design Process
The sprint is a five-day process for answering critical business questions through design, prototyping, and testing ideas with customers. Given below are the steps that were followed for running this sprint.
Day 1: Understanding/Mapping
The first day of the design sprint was dedicated to reviewing the existing research on the problem and mapping out the steps a user would take while using House2home to achieve their goal.
Some of the key takeaways from research have been mapped out below.
User Flow
After identifying the pain points and user goals, Day 1 concluded with 2 end-to-end experiences of the user are mapped out for addressing the problem.
Day 2: Sketching
The second day of the sprint challenge was dedicated to sketching. Most of the time on this day was spent looking at competitor’s products or related products for inspiration.
Lightning Demos method was used to achieve this process.
I scanned through Pepperfry, Myntra, Urban Ladder and Ikea to observe solutions, interfaces and screens and get inspired by their work.
The next step was to pick the most critical screen from Day 1’s Map and create 8 quick sketches in 8 minutes using the Crazy 8s sketch exercise to ideate various iterations of this screen.
Day 3: Building
The second day of the sprint challenge was dedicated to sketching. Most of the time on this day was spent looking at competitor’s products or related products for inspiration.
